The Hatfield-McCoy Trails are a popular destination for many travelers. The trail system has 700+ miles of trails throughout the mountains of Southern West Virginia. As one of the largest off-highway vehicle trail systems in the world, Hatfield-McCoy Trails are open 365 days a year and offers something for every skill level.

Trail Rules and Regulations

Like any extreme sport, trail riding does involve some risks. Keeping everyone safe makes for a better vacation for everyone. Be sure to learn about the rules while you are on the trails.

Trail Passes

Each person visiting the Hatfield-McCoy Trail System, including passengers, is required to purchase an individual User Permit. This Permit allows you to ride, in accordance with Trail Rules, on hundreds of miles of private land that make up our trails. User Permits must be displayed on the user’s helmet at all times while on the trails.

For your convenience, you may purchase your trail passes when making your reservation. We will have your passes waiting when you arrive. You may also purchase them directly from the Hatfield-McCoy Trails website.
